Dallas authorities were called when a unit at Villa Sorrento Apartments went on fire just after midnight last January 6, 2023. A woman who lives there suffered life threatening injuries along with her sons, 11 and 16 years old. The fire department was able to contain the fire but adjacent units had smoke and water damage. If found guilty, the suspect may face severe punishments. Arson is a serious crime in Texas and considered as a second degree felony. It is punishable with a fine of up to $10,000 and up to 20 years in state prison.
